Roundabout 03:02
I don't know how to start today I thought the good things came with age perfect ducks sitting in a row and plans turn out like you run the show Life keeps spinning roundabout through endless cycles of hope and doubt time will tell whatever it sees right now that's good enough for me Wheat field growing in the back of my mind sweet nostalgia or a waste of time maybe my mind's playing tricks on me pawning me something that I thought was free Life keeps spinning roundabout through endless cycles of hope and doubt time will tell whatever it sees right now that's good enough for me I could climb the ladder maybe use my degree cash out rich and live by the sea but a quiet voice says 'seek nothing at all' give your heart to a simpler call Life keeps spinning roundabout through endless cycles of hope and doubt time will tell whatever it sees right now that's good enough for me

I didn’t know what to say So i sat there, quietly Watching every move you made Like it was some kind of sign Language I couldn’t place But I knew it so well It hummed like hospitals And rang like wedding bells There’s an ancient song In the back of the throat We’ve all sung the words All played the notes Chords of sorrow and joy Life and death all as one Sweet grace in the morning And love, turned bitter, undone Spent a couple of weeks Just sorting things out Learning when to hold my tongue Testing when to shout Some holy obscenity A half mumbled refrain Something lost in translation When the heart won’t speak to the brain

Everyday 04:07
Here we are Together again Looking this life in the face Here we are Another long night Waiting for daylight to break I will sit with you and wait I will sit with you and wait It’s a hell of a life Living to die Young from a terrible pace Why the rush We’ll soon fade into dust Darling, lets take our time I won’t let this go to waste Let's not let this go to waste He’s a spirited one A son of gun A sweetheart you can’t help but love All our joy all our pain in this boy The many rolled into one We will watch him grow and change We will watch him grow and change Nothing left but the heart in my chest It still beats like the day that we met Every pulse, every push, every pull A song on the edge of my lips I will sing it everyday I will sing it everyday

about

Recorded in short, late-night bursts in Brandon's Southern California home studio, after the normal nine-to-five was done, and his two-year old son was fast asleep, Trembling Throat, explores love, loss, life, death, and the grey between. In less than twelve minutes, the EP wrestles through a handful of the questions, complexities, and new experiences that come with moving through each new phase of life.
